Welcome to Saint John Nepomuk Chapel, the oldest Czech church in the New World.  Founded in 1854, Saint John’s has been serving Catholics in the historic Soulard area of Saint Louis for 159 years.  Today we embrace our Czech heritage but our church is attended by people of all backgrounds from all over the Metropolitan Saint Louis Area.

Please join us for the holy sacrifice of the mass Saturday afternoon at 4:30 or Sunday morning at 9:30.  All masses are celebrated in English with Czech hymns on Sunday morning.  


Our Lady of Czestochowa

The Icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa, also known as the Black Madonna, is touring the world in support of pro-life.  It has traveled thousands of miles traversing Russia, Europe, and Asia.  It is currently in the United States.

On June 21 and 22 The Black Madonna will be visiting Saint John Nepomuk Chapel.  She will be at the Cathedral Basilica on Saturday morning and at Saint John's Saturday afternoon and Sunday.  These are the only places she will visiting in Saint Louis.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be in the presence of an Icon that has been viewed by tens of thousands of people all over the world.  For more information please click on this link, or on the "Black Madonna" page link above.
